Lord, I pray for…

The Spirit of Wisdom

Give me your spirit of wisdom and insight to know you better. (Ephesians 1:17)

My Role as A Grandparent

Help me teach your Word and share my faith with my grandchildren. (Deuteronomy 4:9)

Steadfastness

Help me stand firm and resist the devil’s schemes by putting on the armor of God. (Ephesians 6:11)

Faith

Help me remain rooted and built up in biblical faith. (Colossians 2:6-7)

Nonconformity

Help me let the things of this world diminish and my love for you increase. (Romans 12:2)

Example of Godly Living

Help me show my grandchildren what a godly life looks like in a secular world. (Titus 2:7-8)

Wise Use of Time

Help me make the most of the opportunities I have and not waste them foolishly. (Ephesians 5:15-17)

Awareness Of Hypocrisy

Show me when my actions don’t match my words. (James 1:22-25)

Faithfulness In My Marriage

Help me model a godly marriage for my family. (Ephesians 5:22,25)

A Hunger for God’s Word

Help me spend time reading and pondering the truth of your Word. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

A Biblical Worldview

Help me develop a Biblical worldview by hoping in Christ during this time of uncertainty and ungodliness. (Hebrews 6:19)

A Safe Haven

Help me provide a secure environment where my grandchildren will feel safe to ask questions and share their struggles and disappointments. (Ephesians 4:29, James 1:19)

Forgiveness

Help me apologize when my words or actions hurt my family and forgive them when they hurt me. (Matthew 5:23-24)

Healthy Relationships

Help me relate and connect to my grandchildren with wisdom and love, even when it’s awkward. (Isaiah 44:3)

My Mind

Help me guard what enters my mind and resist the enemy by focusing on you. (Philippians 4:8)

Obedience To Christ

Help me remain in Christ and obey His commands. (John 15:10-15)

Discernment

Direct my prayers by giving me discernment about the vulnerable spots and unguarded doors of my grandchildren’s hearts. (Proverbs 4:23)

Blessings For My Grandchildren

Provide opportunities for me to teach them that they are your workmanship, and you have a plan for their life. (Ephesians 2:10)

Worship

Help me offer a sacrifice of praise to God, even in difficult circumstances. (Hebrews 13:15)

Honor

As a parent, show me how to honor my parents; as a grandparent, show me how to honor my adult children. (Romans 12:10).

Fervency In Prayer

Keep me on my knees in all things. (Ephesians 6:18)

Listening Skills

Teach me to be a good listener, who responds to my grandchildren without anger or harsh criticism. (James 1:19)

Intentional Discipleship

Make me a disciple, who encourages my grandchildren to a mature faith in Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 4:12)

A Repentant Heart

Make my life an example of true repentance when I stray from Your truth. (Revelation 2:2-5)

Self-Denial

Give me the fortitude to deny myself and follow Christ. (Mark 8:34)

Fruit Of the Holy Spirit

Let your Holy Spirit fall afresh on me, so I may bear abundant fruit for a hungry world. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Wisdom In All Circumstances

Grant me wisdom in all circumstances. (James 1:5)

Resistance To Temptation

Help me to be sober-minded and watching, resisting temptation by walking in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16-17)

Hope

Fill me with hope and joy to the point of overflowing to my family. (Romans 15:13)

My Mouth

Help me avoid calamity by guarding my mouth and tongue. (Proverbs 21:23)
